Being a child of two Auburn graduates, choosing my school for my undergraduate degree was simple. I am a senior working towards a Bachelor's of Science in Microbiology  In both my studies, my extra-curriculars, and day to day life, I strive to live to the Auburn creed: "I believe in the human touch, which cultivates sympathy with my fellow men and mutual helpfulness and brings happiness for all."

Course Description

High School Education

Dothan Technology Center

The Dothan Technology Center serves as a CTE certification school that allows students to be certified in various careers that they can use when they graduate high school. The programs are designed to encourage students to pursue careers outside of the college pursuit and find jobs that they will fully enjoy.

The Biomedical Science Program introduces students to the endless possibilities that are being created in the medical field through its medicines, technologies, and innovations that help improve people's lives. Students are introduced to the program through forensic-based scenarios their first year, leading to studies of anatomy and genetics as ways to explore careers within the medical field. In the final year, students complete a pharmacy technician certification program as graduation of the biomedical program.

As a part of this class, students could join HOSA: Future Health Professionals and compete in various medical categories against people around the world. HOSA’s mission is to empower HOSA-Future Health Professionals to become leaders in the global health community, through education, collaboration, and experience.
